Why do we have a clearance section?

Food is not something we like wasting.

Sometimes we have more stock than we need, something is getting closer to its best-before date, packaging has a small flaw, a label is not quite perfect, or we simply want to make space for something new.

That is where this section comes in.

Some products here are regular products at a temporary reduced price, while others might be B-Ware or have a shorter remaining shelf life. If there is something specific to know, we will always say so clearly.

Rather than throwing away perfectly good products because they are not quite perfect on the outside or because their best-before date is getting closer, we would much rather reduce the price and see them enjoyed.

Is there anything wrong with clearance products?

Sometimes yes, but never in a way we hide from you.

A product might be here because the packaging is dented, the label is crooked, the best-before date is getting closer, we have too much stock, or we are changing something in the assortment.

That does not automatically mean there is anything wrong with the product itself.

When something is sold as B-Ware or has a shorter best-before date, we will make that clear so you know exactly what you are buying.

How long do the offers stay?

There is no fixed rule.

Some offers are temporary, while others stay here until the remaining stock is gone. B-Ware and products with a shorter best-before date are usually only available in small quantities.

Once something sells out, it may disappear for good or come back another time for a completely different reason.

Does clearance mean the product is close to its best-before date?

No.

Some products are reduced because their best-before date is getting closer, but that is only one of the reasons something can end up here.

If the remaining shelf life is shorter than usual, we will make that clear before you order.

What does B-Ware mean?

For us, B-Ware usually means there is something imperfect about the packaging or appearance, not that the food itself is bad.

That could be a dented box, a damaged outer label, printing that did not come out quite right or another small cosmetic issue.

We will always tell you what the reason is when a product is being sold as B-Ware.

Are clearance products lower quality?

Not automatically.

A temporary offer or excess stock has nothing to do with quality, and even with B-Ware the issue is often only on the outside.

If there is anything that affects the product itself, we will say so clearly.

Can I use another discount code on clearance products?

That depends on the discount.

Some codes can be combined with reduced products and others cannot. The checkout will show you whether the code applies.

Will sold-out clearance products come back?

Sometimes, but there is no guarantee.

A product might only appear here once because we have a few imperfect packages or a small amount of stock to clear. Other products might come back during a later promotion.

That is why the selection in this collection can change quite a lot.
