Sukari [Suu-kah-rii] dates are among the most loved date varieties in the Gulf region, known for their intense sweetness, deep honey-caramel flavour and distinctive golden crown.

Ours grow on our partner farm in Al-Ghat, a historic oasis town in Saudi Arabia, where dry desert conditions help the dates develop their rich taste. The date palms grow in biodiverse groves, surrounded by other crops that support soil health and responsible farming practices. Our dates are 100% natural & untreated, with no additives or preservatives.

What makes Sukari especially unique is the contrast in texture: the flesh is soft and tender, while the lightly crystallised crown adds a delicate crunch with every bite. Enjoy them with coffee or tea, as a sweet snack between meals, chopped into yoghurt, blended into smoothies, or as an ingredient in desserts.

Taste & Sweetness

Sukari [Suu-kah-rii] dates truly live up to their name; the golden crown is intensely sweet, reminiscent of natural sugar, while the soft flesh delights with a deep honey-caramel flavor. The contrast between the tender texture and delicate crunch makes them a uniquely satisfying treat.

Why you need Sukari in your life

  • Naturally rich honey-caramel flavour
  • Soft texture with a delicate crunchy crown
  • A natural source of fibre and energy
  • Grown on a biodiverse, sustainable farm
  • No added sugar, pure natural sweetness
  • A unique treat unlike ordinary supermarket dates

Origin

All of our Sukari dates come from one farm in Al-Ghat, Saudi Arabia; never mixed or blended with dates from other farms. This allows for complete quality control, consistency, and full traceability.

It also means we’re able to maintain a strong relationship with the growers, supporting responsible and sustainable farming practices and a supply chain we fully trust.

Our dates are untreated, meaning they’re free from pesticides, preservatives, treatments, and additives. What ends up in your hands is a direct product of that partnership: single-origin and untreated Sukari dates, harvested and packed with care.

How are pressed dates made

  1. The dates are harvested once they are ripe.
  2. After harvest, they are left in the sun for several weeks to ripen further. During this time, the sun slowly evaporates some moisture content from the dates.
  3. The dates are then gently pressed. Since they have lost some moisture during the ripening stage, some of their own raw date syrup is naturally released.
  4. The dates are then sealed in their own syrup, which helps keep them sticky, soft, rich and long-lasting. Because every harvest is unique, the amount of syrup can naturally vary from batch-to-batch.

Nothing is added. No sugar, no oil and no preservatives. Just dates.

How we eat them on the daily

  • With coffee or tea
  • Stuffed with nuts for an easy energy boost
  • Chopped into yoghurt or oatmeal
  • Blended into smoothies
  • As a natural sweet snack between meals

Storage Tips

For the best shelf life, store our pressed dates in a cool, dry and dark place.

After opening, we recommend transferring them to an airtight glass container. This is also a good moment to gently separate the pressed block into individual dates, so they are easier to enjoy one by one later.

Refrigeration is not necessary and can lead to natural sugar crystallisation, which is completely harmless. Thanks to their natural sugar content, pressed dates stay fresh for a long time when stored properly. For the best taste and texture, we recommend enjoying them within a reasonable period after opening.
